The Three Potters Symposium

Description: Please join us for the 7th annual Three Potters Symposium in the Dave Drake Studio Barn. This year we are delighted to host Mike Vatalaro, Sue Grier, and Mike Lalone. Primarily wheel-thrown elements will be demonstrated. Techniques such as lidded vessels, throwing off the hump, and bottomless forms will evolve into more complex structures, either functional or sculptural.

The Three Potters Workshop

Date and Time: July 17th – 21st, 10am – Noon / 1pm – 5pm

Description: This 5-day workshop will be led by three potters – Mike Vatalaro, Sue Grier and Mike Lalone. Primarily starting with wheel-thrown elements, many types of forms will be explored. Techniques such as lidded vessels, throwing off the hump, and bottomless forms will evolve into more complex structures, either functional or sculptural. Projects will focus on proportion, profile, and interior space.
